Directions from Norden to our Rochdale base
Norden is a village of stone houses north-west of Rochdale, past Bamford, with views up towards the moor. Detached homes and semis often have a drive or a sloping front garden. Older cottages on the lanes have neither. The run from Swain Street is north-west, and the last streets can be narrow once you leave the main road.
A piano, a large dining table or a corner sofa should be named when you book. Garden steps and a tight gate are common. Norden Cricket Club match days add cars on the roads near the ground. There is no station to work around, but the bus route into town still needs a clear stop that is not a bus stand.
See house removals for a full home and piano removals if an instrument is moving. Nearby: Bamford and Healey. Rochdale removals is the Swain Street team for this village.
Insurance is provided. If the drive is steep, say so. We would rather bring the smaller vehicle than mark the gateposts.

Moving in Norden: common questions
Why do Norden addresses use two postcodes?
The village uses both OL11 and OL12. Shawfield Lane library is OL12 7RQ, while other Norden roads are OL11. Quote the full postcode when you book.
Is there a station in Norden?
No. Buses run towards Rochdale. The nearest rail is back in town or at Castleton, not in the village.
Can the library car park take a van?
Norden Library has no car park. The council page says that plainly. We need a stop at the house.
