Kirkholt is the large estate south of Rochdale town centre, built in closes off a spine of roads rather than a high street. Houses and low blocks sit with front gardens that rarely take a van, and cars already line the kerb. The way from Swain Street is down through the centre and out to the south. Once you are on the estate, the close name matters more than the postcode alone.
